Waffar USD Saving Account

Banque du Caire is supporting financial inclusion by launching a new USD savings account, part of the Central Bank of Egypt's initiative. Enjoy Simple Banking initiative and receive remittances in USD.

Benefits:

Interest rate 2 % from USD 1 up to a maximum of USD 20,000, interest is calculated on the minimum balance during the month and paid monthly.
Free account opening and no minimum account opening.
A customer from the age of 15 can open an account without a guardian and with a guardian for customers under the age of 15.
Accessibility to withdraw and deposit from branches during working hours.
Possibility to receive remittances on a savings account.
Receive Free quarterly statements.
Free subscription to the Interactive Voice Response (IVR).
Possibility to issue a bank power of attorney/credit card/loans starting from 21 years old.
Possibility of a secured credit card against savings accounts with the same currency, on favorable terms starting from 21 years old.

Required Documents:

15 years old and above with Valid national ID only.
Under 15 years old with birth certificate and guardian Valid national ID.

Balance and debit limits

Account balance limits: equivalent to 1,000,000 EGP (Including CD’s / TD’s / Remittances).
Daily debit transaction limits: equivalent to 90,000 EGP (Withdrawal, Transfer, FX)
Monthly debit transaction limits: equivalent to 300,000 EGP (Withdrawal, Transfer, FX)

Note: In case of any breach, the account will be suspended.

In case of exceeding the specified daily and monthly debit transaction and in case of exceeding account balance more than one million the account will be suspended and the following will be required:
- You will have to visit the nearest branch to sign full KYC.
- Upon visiting the branch, you must complete all the procedures for opening a new account, while choosing another product suitable for the volume of transactions according to the customer's needs.
