Interest rate of 1.50% applicable on balances from USD 1 up to USD 20,000, calculated on the minimum monthly balance and credited monthly.
Free account opening with no minimum balance requirement.
Cash withdrawals and deposits are available at branches during official working hours.
Ability to receive remittance directly into the Waffar account.
Free quarterly account statements.
Free subscription to the IVR service.
Subscription to Internet and Mobile Banking services.
Possibility to issue a banking power of attorney starting from the age of 21.

Eligibility & Specifications:

Available for individual customers only.
Account opening is permitted from age 15 without a guardian; for customers under 15, a legal guardian is required.
Waffar account is available in US Dollars only.

Required Documents:

Valid National ID for customers aged 15 and above.
For customers under 15: Birth Certificate and valid National ID of the guardian.

Balance & Transaction Limits:

Maximum account balance: Equivalent to EGP 1,000,000 (including certificates, deposits, and remittance).
Daily debit transaction limit: Equivalent to EGP 90,000 (cash withdrawals, transfers, and currency exchange).
Monthly debit transaction limit: Equivalent to EGP 300,000 (cash withdrawals, transfers, and currency exchange).

Note: In case of any breach, the account will be suspended.

Account Suspension & Regularization:

In case of exceeding daily/monthly transaction limits or the maximum balance:

The customer must visit the branch to complete and sign the Know Your Customer (KYC) form.
The customer will be required to fulfill all procedures for opening a new account, and select a more suitable product in line with their transaction needs.
