Before you travel

• Check your cards are valid with a sufficient balance.
• Keep your card PIN# saved in safe place separated from your card and never write your PIN# anywhere.
• Let your bank know about your trip before you leave so unfamiliar transactions are not flagged as suspicious.
• Activate roaming service or provide alternative contact number for the bank to reach you overseas.
• Ensure that your SMS service is activated to notify you with any transaction withdrawn from your cards.
• Download BdC mobile banking to track your accounts.

During your travel

• Take advantage of the hotel safe box to keep your valuable staff including your cards and passport.
• Don't keep all your cards in one place/ one wallet.
• Keep your cards away from direct sunlight to prevent damage.
• Review your receipts very carefully before signing/ entering your PIN.
• Avoid using unsecured WIFI or shared network
• Immediately contact the bank in case you lost your card.
• It is always recommended to pay in the local currency of the country you are visiting.
• Paying in Egyptian Pounds aboard will result in higher exchange rate.

After your travel

• Change your PIN through any bank branch/ATM.
• Check all your card statements and take the immediate action in case of any dispute with the bank.
